Hemingway uses Wordpress excerpts to display entries on the
homepage and by default Wordpress strips images out. However -- you
can get around this by manually putting images into the excerpts.
On the Add a New Post screen there's an excerpt field (see attached
image) -- just put images in there, and they will show on the
homepage.

I really want to use Hemingway, it's fantastic! But can you help
me get the image step by step? What means "pic of the admin panel"
I only can upload a picture in the text field, never in the "title"
or in "excerpt".

- love it thanks! - and looking for help re the images, i landed on
this page.... ---> all you need to do is a lil' copy-paste of
the code down in the 'excerpt' box at you're off! thx kyle eva

sorry, but in my wordpress screen I don't have the expression "use them in your template" in excerpt field. what's the problem?

Wordpress.com is slightly different, but you can see an image on the homepage here: http://kneath.wordpress.com
